If you need any help envisioning a life spent on the beach, let me help you.  You could spend the rest of your life on a stretch of sandy beach, on the Pacific Coast of Ecuador where the near-perfect climate and the low cost of living creates the ideal spot to build a new life in paradise!  Cadeate is a quaint community located between the business and shopping centers of La Libertad and the bohemian surfing mecca of Montañita along the famous Ruta del Spondylus.  This gives you the best of both worlds: quick access to shopping, services, restaurants and activities, while being based in a tranquil and secluded Shangri-la.

This 684-square-meter lot right on the beach consists of two separate two-story cottages.  You can have room for the entire family, including parents or in-laws, or you can live in one and utilize the other to generate rental income, ensuring a nice cash flow.  Whether you find long-term tenants or choose to make use of international hospitality sites such as Airbnb or VRBO, it is possible to create a beach-centered life without being fully retired.

Built in 2015, the larger cottage is 1,400 square feet.  On the ground floor, the living room, dining room, and kitchen are an open and grand space where the family can gather or guests can be entertained.  The kitchen has a large island creating even more counter space, as well as, a convenient breakfast bar for quick and casual meals.  A guest bathroom and a laundry room are also found on the ground floor. The three bedrooms are located on the second level, with the master bedroom boasting sliding glass doors accessing a spacious balcony.  The master bedroom also has a private, en-suite master bathroom with dual sinks. The second bedroom also has sliding glass doors to access the balcony.  There is a third bedroom with bunk beds, and the third bathroom is shared between the second and third bedrooms.  This cottage has a fantastic bonus space of a rooftop terrace…the views here are stunning!  Enjoy a cocktail at the end of your day and have a front-row seat to nature’s spectacular sunsets here.

The smaller of the two cottages is 1,000 square feet, was completed in 2004, and boasts an incredibly large balcony on the second story, providing priceless views. The living room, and kitchen/dining areas are open to one another and enjoy lots of natural light from the large windows on this level.  The step-saving kitchen is open to a breakfast bar that faces one of the windows, taking advantage of the tropically-landscaped grounds.  The master bedroom, with a master bathroom, is located on the ground floor, making it possible for parents or in-laws to be close by while still having a sense of independence.  Upstairs, two large bedrooms share a roomy Jack-and-Jill bathroom.  It is the balcony, however, that is the star of this cottage!  It beckons guests to come and sit, with their coffee or cocktails, to watch and listen to the surf.  Guests – whether they be invited friends, or renters – will be enchanted with this cottage with a beachcomber vibe and expansive ocean views.  There is an outbuilding with a laundry room, and most of the furnishings are included in the sale of this unique property.

The grounds of the property have spaces for relaxing in the shade or lounging in the sun.  A covered porch looks out to the grassy yard and the thatched-roof gate leading directly to the sandy beach, where you or guests can walk for miles seeing more pelicans than people!
