Apu Napo Lodge is situated on 58 hectares of rainforest in one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. Located on the Napo River next to Yasuni National Park, the Lodge offers vacation opportunities to travelers who want to experience nature far away from environmental, sound, and visual pollution. Apu Napo is accessible only by our new boat which seats 14 passengers.

The Lodge consists of several buildings connected by walking paths through the jungle landscape. Construction was planned to leave the existing forest undisturbed, so every building and walkway gives visitors spectacular views of the local wildlife and exotic plants and trees.

The main common building has a fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor. The dining area is located on a covered balcony and seats 80 guests. Designed by indigenous artisans, it was built using local wood with stone accents. Four common bathrooms serve this building. Outside is an attractive bar area overlooking the Amazonian landscape.

The ground floor of the Octagon Building is divided into two spaces. One contains housing for the facility administrator with space for a kitchen to be installed. The plan for the other half of the main floor is to install bunk beds and a communal bathroom for staff housing. The second floor has space for two small guest rooms with private baths and two additional rooms with a shared bath for staff or volunteers. These rooms and the bathroom facilities for this floor have not yet been completed. The current owner is willing to negotiate completing the work before the sale is final.

The Octagon Building also includes a large space with spectacular views for meetings or activities such as yoga, tai chi, or meditation.

The complex includes 7 luxurious wooden cabins, able to accommodate up to 5 people. Each spacious cabin has a private bath with water heated by solar panels. The large windows and private balconies offer spectacular views of the jungle to guests.

The Tower Building is used for storage and employee housing. Fresh water from a natural spring on the property is pumped into three tanks on the top floor of this building, holding 7500 liters of water for the entire Lodge.

Two additional wood housing blocks are used for staff housing. Each block has four bedrooms, two baths and showers.

For outdoor meetings or activities, El Chozon is a covered space built in traditional indigenous style.

All of the property is kept in good condition. Minor repairs and painting are done on a regular basis to make sure the Lodge is always ready to receive tourists. Electricity for the property is provided by a diesel generator which provides 33 KVA of power.

There are five indigenous communities in the area around Apu Napo, and the local people are happy to share their customs and herbal knowledge with visitors to the lodge. There are walking trails throughout the area for guided tours of the Amazonian flora and fauna. A short walk from the main building takes you to a waterfall and beach area for swimming. Medical facilities are 10 minutes away by boat in case of emergencies.

Apu Napo Lodge is located in the province of Orellana, 230 km from Quito. The boat to Apu Napo leaves from the pier in Puerto Rico. Secure parking is provided there.

Financing is available through the owner. Price is negotiable, as is the amount of construction to be completed before the sale.
